To help answer these questions, Valimail partnered with an international food and beverage company to analyze the email impact of using Amplify to implement BIMI with a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC).
The company agreed to share anonymized performance data examining BIMI’s influence over time, from its initial launch through sustained adoption.
The company first started using Amplify to implement BIMI in March 2025, and even within that partial month, they saw an immediate 4.5% increase in open rates compared to March 2024.
By April 2025, the first full month of BIMI-enabled sending, the results were even stronger:
Email open rates rose from 53% to 63%, a 10-percentage-point increase, representing more than an 18% year-over-year lift
This early success validated Amplify’s promise: a verified brand mark in the inbox captures attention, signals legitimacy, and boosts engagement.
With such strong initial results, the next question was whether that lift would fade over time.
To find out, email engagement was tracked over six months following implementation. The results remained consistently strong, showing an average 4.3% lift in open rates across the half-year window.
Even as the “newness” of BIMI wore off, customers continued to respond positively to the presence of the verified logo. The trust signal had become part of how recipients recognized and valued the brand’s communications.
From initial rollout to sustained performance, one truth held steady:
When a brand is visibly trusted in the inbox, email performs better.
This customer’s journey illustrates that using Amplify to implement BIMI doesn’t just provide a one-time boost; it also offers ongoing benefits. It’s a long-term trust and performance enhancer that pays dividends across every stage of the email lifecycle.
